Hi Slatula, Welcome to SKF. The forum opens up as your post count continues....lots of great info and pics. Alternatively, the perm membership of $12.50 is definitely a great investment. Enjoy our great community.

Thanks guys and gals

At the moment I am breeding mostly L numbers 201,002,046 lots of peps and just got some new 270's to try. I have tonnes of red cherry shrimp wh o keep my Pleco tanks clean but am in the process of tracking down some blue cherries and also maybe some crs. I have also got some riffle shrimp which I am currently trying to breed which I think might have happened already cause there is a couple in there that are smaller then I remember the originals being. Can anyone tell me exactly what shrimp are available in Australia because it doesn't seem like there is much info out there confirming what is here?

Ooooooo! L046's are my favourite :encouragement: basically you can get cherries, red, blue, yellow, orange, chocolate, black & green, there's also Rillis, red, blue gene red & blue, all the grades of CRS & CBS & then you can get Taiwan bee, panda, King Kong, wine red, ruby red & Bluebolts, there's also tigers & tibees. That's pretty much in order of difficulty of keeping as well :victorious:

It's been hard enough tracking down some blue cherries so I would hate to be looking for the ones at the bottom of that list.i would love to own them all though

Hey mick, yeh Ben aka fishmosy got me onto it cause I told him I was keen on getting some more shrimp. I bought 10 yellow cherries about a year ago and within 2 weeks had one left. Turns out there was 2 dragonfly larvae in the tank, little #######. But I am keen to have another crack at them.

I don't really have any but I will try and get some. The fish room is quite dim lighting so whenever I try to get photos in the light they r quite sheepish

Why do all the cherry shrimp varieties get special names except the "YELLOW" kinda feel for them, from now on we should call them "Lemon Shrimp!"

There is a guy advertising some online and he says specifically that pumpkin shrimp are not a kind of cherry. Just wanted to make sure that he was full of it
