Is this a velvet cherry?

Hi All,

I was just topping up my tank in my study room and found this little guy. It's about 1-2mm. Is it a velvet?

Mum and Dad look like blue velvets so I reckon so :encouragement:

great colour on that shrimplet!

I believe blue velvet come from choc bloodline. But that is an outstanding shrimp in its own right, very much worthy of a selective breeding program!

Hi izzy, the pic of the mum looks like she's a snowball...is her saddle white ? or is it just the colour of the pic ?

Cool. Thanks everyone. My problem is raising the young . Getting them to breed is the easy part for me. Getting them to survive is the hard part :(

very nice!! :) with u and 2OFUS finding velvets recently im hopin my very berried blue gene rilis pop something just half as nice :p

good spot.. definately worth the slective breading.. such as strong blue!

Blue velvet for sure yes :) and sorry to burst the bubble Aquathumb but blue velvets are blue rilli. The blue from chocolates had not been breeding true yet :(
