So much potential' date=' my brain melts when I think about it, lol :victorious:
Wowed Squiggle...looking amazing, and the possibilities are mind boggling. Please do keep us posted, and lots of pics. Absolutely fantastic....congrats mate !
Lol, I know what you mean, I started thinking about it all & blacked out, woke up shivering in the fetal position, hahaha :smiley_simmons:
Talking about showing....Where are more pictures?
More pics are definitely on the way :encouragement:
You will be competing with Dean soon!!!! How many are devoted to shrimp versus fish? Are you still keeping on with the bettas and showing them ?
I don't know about that, so far I only have 4 tanks for shrimp now but all ten of the new tanks will be for Pandas, KK, BB, WR & RR, some left over for the spidershrimp experiment & maybe something else that I haven't decided yet :victorious: I will still be breeding & showing Bettas but not as many as before(kind of have to being President & all, lol), just be concentrating on the perfect light bodied red :encouragement:

I'm itching to set my new rack up :encouragement: The racks are 1200mm x 540mm x 1800mm but I wouldn't recommend them for large tanks as they bend, the left one sags & even though I replaced the MDF shelves with ply they still sag. The one on the right only has jarred Bettas on it so it doesn't sag. The new rack is going to be pallet racking which can hold 2ton per shelf :encouragement:

I think I just have to accept the fact that I dont have room for a rack :( 3ft and 2ft divided it'll have to be!

Not a commercially bought one, you could always make one out of timber :encouragement:

By "You", you actually mean you, right ;) LOL

No in all seriousness my 3ft and 2ft idea will be sufficient for now :encouragement:

Ok I have an update on my new system, I had a call during the week from the guy doing my tanks & he said it would be a lot more than he quoted me, so I politely told him to stick it up his clacker. Anyway, after a few calls to mates I have secured ten 2ftx1.5ftx1.5ft tanks for $300 which is heaps cheaper than I was going to get the 5ft tanks with dividers, :victorious: they already have one hole in them which is a bonus & I'm picking them up on Sunday morning. Also as a result of the change in tank size I've had to get bigger beams for the rack so I wont be picking that up tomorrow but the guy said he'd call me when it will be available, :dejection: hopefully it will be before next weekend. Now I'm tossing up whether to drill an extra hole or leave it as is & work something out that way, decisions, decisions, doh!:cower:

Brand spankers too, my mate bought them off a shop that went bust :victorious:

Yeah, I'm going to put them sideways so the front will be 1.5x1.5 & they will be 2ft deep so it will fit the rack perfectly & most of the weight will be on the beams, going to cost me a bit more for the soil but, you win some, you loose some :victorious: Now I've just got to sort out a sump as the dude building the tanks was going to do that too :dejection:

Yeah' date=' soil will be a real killer for all those tanks.[/quote']

Really depends on the depth he's going with. Personally I'd be happy with a bag of fine/powder substrate per tank myself, 3 - 10mm deep

provided he isn't going mad on plants. Mosses will be happy, I'm doing similar myself.

Yeah I think it has to be a bit deeper than that, I'm not having plants but I want to have a ph of about 5.6-6 so I think I'm going to need between 30-50mm deep, I will have to consult with the gurus for a more definite depth :encouragement:
