I Looooove your tank. Have you tested the TDS ? Curious to know whether its possible to have Low TDS on a med-high lighted tank ? Possible ?

Thanks BB ... I don't know how to test the TDS ... is that done with a test kit or?? .. I have a KH kit but not sure how to use it (if I am doing it right) .. it says add one drop at a time until test water turns from blue to yellow... mine doesn't turn blue, even after 7 drops

TDS is tested with a electronic pen....unsure whether you know a member that has one that's close to you ? What colour is your KH On the 1st drop ?

My kh is yellow from the first drop. I think it's just very very low kh!

keep adding drops :p Adelaide water takes a lot of drops for the kH kit to change colour lol. i recon mine used to take around 8-9 drops before it changed from memory, but that's a long time ago too though.

On the first drop it is a washed out yellow ... as I added more drops, it intensified in yellow ... got to 8 drops and thought.. "am I wasting drops here" lol

If its yellow to begin with I'm pretty sure it won't go blue then back to yellow again! Lol. Mines the same, pale yellow from the first drop. If you add a bit of bicarbonate you'll see the blue colour.

Found it, Good info thanks.... It would seem my tank is going along 'swimmingly' then .. haha

But I will get a Gh test kit as well.... and maybe a TDS meter ... for later on when I go 'pro' (lol) and keep some higher grades.. ;)
