Do shrimp get worms???

Hi All,

Was awake most of Saturday night and like normal the brain was in over drive and this come in to it how and why I dont know. Do shrimp get worms like fish, humans, cat and dogs.

Hi Jacet I don't know the answer but is there a reason you want to know. Have you seen something on the shrimp because if you have and can describe or take a picture then someone might recognise it. I was the same last night wide awake thinking!!!

I don't know about worms but every creature does get its share of parasites, I do know that they can get leeches though. I did have some pictures of leeches on shrimp but I can't find them at the moment.

I am lead to believe that is a worm like creature that sends out shrimp white on the inside and it happens after stress, usually heat stress. It can happen to any shrimp.
