Golden shrimp for breeding program

Hey guys,

Would like your advice on the use of Golden shrimp in a breeding program. I have a male arriving next week from over east but not sure as to how to use him best? Mate with female CRS or female CBS? Try and get another Golden and breed male and female together?

What will give the best end result? I for some reason had in my mind Goldens should be crossed with CBS? Not sure if I read that somewhere or I am just making things up haha.

the best thing to do is just put it in a tank full of females CRS & CBS and let him sex as many as he can so you have plenty of them carrying the gene and then start the selective breeding from the offspring.

you will also have a lot more to choose from too.

Excellent thanks Dean! Will have to try and get some CBS and more CRS, I have the CRS at the moment, but only a pair and a few little ones!
