Thanks, he has whitened up very nicely, he was hiding the whole time & when he finally came out in the open he was obscured by moss, cheeky bugger :victorious:

Looking great mate.

I noticed a few of your shots had a bluish hue to them. Is this from your LED flash? Maybe you can adjust your white balance to compensate for this.

Yeah it's a bit of the LED flash & a bit of post editing to get the whites in the shrimp looking their whitest. I'm still not overly impressed with the detail, lots of out of focus bits i'm still working on. The second & third are my favs but there's still a lot of detail that's missing, I especially have trouble with the panda, just can't get the detail. :dejection:

I'm very intrigued by the red eyed SSS/GB, it came from SS mother & GB father(I think, have a SSS male in there too) I'd really like to know what the deal is with red eyes on a CRS/GB? Is it rare? How did it come about? :victorious:

Yeah good focus is the hardest part of the macro photos. I take most of photos free hand and with the weight of the camera, bracket and flash, it becomes really difficult to maintain that minute depth of field.

I have had red-eyed CRS before that were carrying the golden gene. I wonder if it's an albino trait.

Very nice shots Squiggle!

I love how you captured the eggs! Most photos I see, they are blurred. These photos look outstanding!

I have a Snow White with red eyes :/

I wonder what it means...

I have a question, I have some new Murray river long arm shrimp, does anyone have any experience about keeping these guys in a tank with fish? What sized fish will they try and eat? (Or better yet successful catch) I also have a new bristlenose pleco in the tank, they're a little slower and placid, will they eat him?

Great photo, and great to hear that this tank is still going 'OK' for now, hopefully with time it may just settle down on its own? I don't know the answers to your questions but I am eager (as I am sure you are as well) to see what happens next and what the babies look like!   Simon

Two berried tigers! 3/5 of the tigers are females, so it’s very likely that they bred with a black or red crystal. I don’t actually know what this means or what the mischlings will be? Will the only carry the tiger gene while producing crystals and tigers, or will the babies show fancy tigers markings?   Also, what determines how many eggs a female produces? One tiger has CONSIDERABLY more eggs. The on in this picture has about half as many eggs as the other...

Very happy!   Ugh, that tank. I can’t win with that tank, the fix didn’t last. But all are acting healthy. The ones with whatever the issue is seem to be losing white pigment? They are turning clear. However, it’s still only the red crystals as the black crystals and tigers show no symptoms.   I do have two berried Tigers in the tank, so I am excited to see what I get( I’m adding pics to that thread now)
    • sdlTBfanUK
Oh wow, as you say they certainly are tiny! You must be so happy? How is it going with the other (Caridina) tank? Simon
