Plant fertilizers for shrimp only tanks.

Are there any safe plant fertilizers available for shrimp tanks? The ones i have from my plant days all list copper as an ingredient which i know is deadly to shrimps.

I also have Seachem Excel which is a liquid form of carbon which is good for plants but i'm not sure if even that is safe for shrimp.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers

I've been using Aquascience Daily and Basic grow in my 4ft tank with no ill effects on cherries or native shrimp. Can't comment on the crystal shrimp range though.

Some copper is OK as the shrimp use it for their blood (similar to iron in our blood). Just have to be careful not to overdose.

You can always dose at less than the recommended amount if your worried, or alternatively divide your usual weekly dosage into a daily dosage that way the amount you are adding to the tank at one time is miniscle.

As far as i am aware Excel is OK to use as long as you don't overdose.
