Hey guys,

I was just wondering, I just found a planaria in my tank [Rage]. was just about to start dosing my tank with flourish excel for a bit of hair algae i have, should i wait till thats done before I dose no planaria as it may be an overload of chemials going into the tank?

Yeah, just hold off, one Planaria is nothing... Trying siphoning it out.

When I see them on the glass, I use a 50ml syringe that I bought from the chemist (took about 5 chemist before I found one who stocked them) and I suck them out.

I don't like using chemicals considering I have berried mammas and sensitive shrimplets.

i use a brine shrimp net and easily catch them or other bugs.. then i run hot tap water to kill anything and rinse net.. nets only cost $3-$4 so worse case jus by a few to have spares. ive never done it before, mostly because its never been that bad, but u could always buy two brine shrimp nets and double up the netting to make it extra efficient. anything to avoid chemicals with berried girls n shrimplets!!
