Substrate cycling times for ammonia release

Just wondering on what the general consensus is regarding times it takes for substrates to stop leaching ammonia and what not.

I understand that ADA Amazonia it is recommended 6 weeks before stocking a tank.

Benibachi Shrimp soil - i stocked after a week of cycling with nil issues.

Up Aqua Shrimp sand - I stocked after a week and a half with nil issues (untested water).

Primary reason i ask is not only for further knowledge in terms of how long each susbstrate requires cycling for but i have placed a handful of UP Aqua shrimp sand fresh into a breeder box and am not completely sure as to whether or not i would still be safe adding shrimp into it even though my shrimp is cycled. The only thing i have sort of assisting with water flow is having it sit above one of my sponge filters so that the bubbles are braking on the sides where the slits are.

6 weeks for ADA Amazonia!? No wonder ammonia is still reading 2.0 ppm on day 23. Not happy, I only brought ADA Amazonia as I was told it would take 7 days when I rang the store to enquire about it! Our poor Bristlenose is not happy being kept in a 57 litre plastic tub with just a cave, heater and dual bio sponge air filter. Our CRS shrimplets are at risk of being snacked on by our 5 Rasbora Maculatas and they would have been moved into the other tank before the shrimplets were born, if I hadn't been misinformed by the store. And the 20 (now 19 as one jumped to its death) that I ordered thinking the tank would be ready for them, are living in a breeder net in our RCS/Mischling tank, and I don't know how many shrimplets the occasional escapee has snacked on.

I should've ordered and waited for the Cal Aqua to be delivered or gone with fluval shrimp stratum again.

note: for cycle ada amazonia

never mess up the soil

harmed soil = leaching more ammonia

be carefull when water change the tank

maybe fast cycle amazonia if using some bactery

still all my bactery (i use 3, each after 50% WC) not changing my tank, it's been 5 weeks and still no sign of zero ammo

Thanks Salvanost. So glad it's finally cycled and the plants are thriving in there. I did change some of the hard scape before I filled it so that probably didn't help.
