Is anyone here keeping Blue rillis? I'm interested to see photos of what blue rillis are in Australia. If anyone has some please show a pic!

There's much confusion with blue Rillis. Many hobbyist is Aust consider this a blue rilli, which is variation from the red rilli. I have a small colony, and I'm still trying to fix its genetics, as its still producing red Rillis. This shrimp internationally is Valle a blue velvet.

Some of the shrimplets coming out of the blue velvet.

Pic of a carbon rilli (not a great specimen, but nevertheless, it demonstrates the diff)

The blue rilli has a less intense blue colouration...

+1 to what BB said.

Here a couple of pics of mine. Mine occasionally throw out juveniles with a red spot on their heads, or a red outline on their tails. They are getting better now and I would say about 80% breed true. Still working on it though.

Although, I did go through a period of aggressive culling, where any imperfections were removed to live a life of glee with my fish.

They look great but seem to be more low grade rilli, some very pale blue? Has anyone got solid blue part with the rest of the body clear?

----- Sent from my mobile so apologising in advance for any grammar or spelling mistakes.
