WWF's mission is to halt the degradation of our planet's natural resources and preserve our life-support system – the environment. By doing things smarter, we aim to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature, preserving biodiversity so that we all benefit and enjoy our most precious gift. The Earth.

This is my choice as nature and all living creatures are not to blame for the mess us humans have made of this world. I think of the extinct because of loss of habitat, deaths due to oil spills, bush fires, etc.

I'm involved with Camp Quality (Kids with Cancer), and Cricket Champs (Disabled kids in Sports)......BUT all charity are great. I do like smaller charity groups that are more hands on etc....as a better % of $ goes back into them .....

I am very big on Kids charities so would also like to nominate

Starlight childrens foundation,

The Starlight Children’s Foundation transforms the experience of hospitalisation and treatment for seriously ill children and their families- Starlight is the only children’s charity with a permanent , physical presence in very major paediatric hospital in the country.

or Sidsandkids

SIDS and Kids works to find answers for parents by funding and supporting vital research into stillbirth, SIDS and safe sleeping practices. Through evidence based community education we aim to prevent these deaths and we advocate for and support bereaved families.

Can't we pool the proceeds between say the top 5 charities, all of the causes above are excellent and i'd hate to have to pick out of them.

Mutli choice poll then work out the percentages from there or i dont know if you can have a 5 choice but definitely not a single choice poll unless there is a definite top 5

Australian Suicide Prevention - HOLD ON TO LIFE - Also I think the dates wrong in the first post, should be 11th April not May?

I would also agree with who posted about the smaller charities, as the bigger ones will also have financial backing from big business which i think smaller ones may not :)

I know it's not really a charity but it would be awesome if we could donate to Red Hill Special School.

I work in this school and know first hand just how much we could do with the money..

We specialize in high needs and multiple needs kids and the guiding principle for RHSS is all children have an inalienable right to an education. We achieve this aim through caring and professional staff members offering a curriculum which caters for all ability groups, taking into consideration their range of individual needs and abilities.

It has been a few weeks now and I have done a couple of large water changes. I tested the water parameters this morning, GH6 and KH2, TDS 140 and PH 7.5. Obviously the PH is off but there isn't anything in the tank that should cause the PH to rise to this figure so I will just run the tank for another month with 10% weekly water changes (probably just with RO water) and see where we are at that point. The RO water tests at PH6, and the KH and GH in the tank could come down as they are at the upper limits for Caridina shrimps! There are only about 10 very small snails in there at this point, but they seem to be doing well enough.

I believe these to be very rare in Australia so you may even consider making it a longer term plan and produce your own by starting with the best CRS you can get as that is where the pure lines started! Depends how patient and interested in the project you are, but would save money as well? If I recall correctly it takes from 8 generations of selective breeding? They sell them at micro aquatic shop but do not ship to Western Australia, but that means they are available in Australia. https://microaquaticshop.com.au/products/pure-red-line-grade-ss-shrimp Good luck and just maybe smeone on here may point you in the right direction or be able to supply you with some.

Hi Guys,  Does anyone know where to buy PRL shrimps in WA, not the CRS please. Thanks Regards

Yes it’s super accurate to position where I want now and stay there- I am satisfied.  All the fish and shrimpers are doing excellent! Coming up on 4 years running!

You must be pleased with that, it looks better and is much more robust and less likely to damage or leaks! The tank looks very natural now it has been running for a time. I see the ember tetras, how are the blue shrimp doing, I see a few? The cat and dog look very content and unimpressed, lol.
