Shrimp going crazy.

I have two snow whites. The larger one is 100% saddled female. The smaller one ive been leaning towards female but right now it is 'going crazy' .

Same scenario with my cbs.

One definate male is also going crazy. All my known females are just normal.

So my question is: Is it only the males who do the crazy sexy dance?

If so then I have found a male for my loney girl snow white. :)

I have never seen a female zooming around the tank whilst the males do t heir testosterone filled dance around the tank looking for her.

I think in my experience they tend to hide more so then zoom to preventing teh sexual harrassment of a heap of males

try putting them in a breeder box overnight and see if shes berried in the morning, i have done it in the past :)

From my observations, only the males in my tanks (5 atm) do the crazy dance. Swimming around like looking for a certain scent. So I would say yes she should not be lonely anymore.

Ive put them in the 1st division with the yellow cherries. They were with the cbs.

The sss cbs male is cruising around also might get a berried cbs.

Or the scent could come from the crs (middle divison).

Hopefully someone gets lucky. :)

I have an aquamanta box and a sudo box which i previously used as per my last post but i am actually going to get a couple of the internal ones to avoid the massive temp increases i get here.

I used to swear against the shrimp caves but when i did my selective breeding, i added the same substrate some moss and a shrimp cave and in 48 hours i had 4 berried females from 2 selected males. Once i get some breeders i will be doing the same thing again only because i have a mix in my tank and its my best bet to avoid cross breeding.

The males tends to go crazy and go dashing around the tank, enchanted by the freshly moulted female.....looks like you're going to be a daddy soon.

Flower head crystal red shrimp is berried.

Just checked ss Cbs is berried. The daddy is a sss.

Every one is getting berried.

Just have to wait for my snow white to berry now.

Congratulations bro! I think it is the stormy weather that is creating a breeding frenzy! Some of my shrimp have berried up as well!

Rain water in cabramatta has a tds of 12.

must be right time of the month, i think one of my female A grades is berried but the eggs are somewhat clear still so i am thinking not fertilized yet

gonna dig out my old internal aqua one breeder box and see how i go :)

I don't think it is 12 all the time, depends on where the rain clouds flew in from and the pollutants in them. May be 12 one day and 500 next time.

If you can see eggs under her belly then they are fertilised. They don't get there unless having bred with a male and fertilized as I know it.
