Hi,

can someone please let me know how rillis come about? do they appear spontaneously in cherry colonies? I don't really know anything about them except they look nice.

Thanks

Ineke

Pretty sure it's a genetic mutation - missing altered genes ? This trait also appears with the golden bees...although not stable.

Sorry ineke, just wanted to demonstrate that the rilli/clear body is not exclusive to the cherries ONLY. :-)
