Scaping Ratio's

can anyone please explain the "golden ratio" ?

The short answer is 1:1.62

Think of it as a way to get visual balance, not symmetry. It's about please the human eye when such ratios are put to use, especially in design and photography.

I have worked 1/3rd in from the LHS and 2/3rds back from the front of the tank.

Don't worry, I didn't even know about it until I posted my original rescape on another forum for critique. That's when someone told me about it. Mine still isn't technically the right ratio but it's close enough. LOL

I was told use triangles and divide into 5th's.... but must read the link as love maths....

Golden ratio is simply Fibonacci sequence. Natures algorithm ;)
