API Stress Coat as Shrimp water conditioner

Recently brought the API stress coat as water conditioner as the seachem prime is out of stock at my local lfs.

Was wondering before i use it:

1. Is it shrimp safe?

2. Should i remineralise the water?

1) Yes.

2) Are you using tap water? If yes, you don't need to remineralise the tap water.

You only need to remineralise RO water, which is devoid of any useful minerals for fish or shrimp.

My shrimps has been inactive lately, so i was wondering if adding some minerals would help them.

I should really go buy a test kit as I have really limited information right now.

Thats quite a leap from fish keeping to shrimp keeping ?.

Keeping fish is a breeze compared to shrimp. Fish can survive in relatively bad water parameters compared to shrimp.
