Hi all does anyone have a quick fix for an aquarium leak? I recently picked up a free 5 gal tank and filled it up ready to start cycling. I then noticed a tiny puddle leaking out from one of the corners. Anyone got any ideas on a quick fix? I have to wait a while to get silicone so that’s not an option and it doesn’t have to be a high pressure solution because the tank is small.

Do you sit the tank on styrofoam? If you rest the tank on a surface without the foam, it increases the stress on the joints of the tank, causing cracks. A flat table top isn't always flat.

Only way is to fix it with silicon. That means emptying the tank, patching it with silicon and waiting a day or two for the silicon to cure, before adding water and livestock back in.

I use yoga mats, found it works similarly.
