Well i run three shrimp tanks, two saltwater tanks, and 4 freshwater community tanks. I Have blue velvets, red cherrys, yellows and ghost for shrimp. Need some help with the posting of stuff...like where to post..lol. Thanks.

Well I have a shrimp tank that all my shrimps were going nuts in.... But i found three female with eggs so i figured out what was going on. All so how ofter well they have baby's? As i keep ending up with tons of little ones in a tank that I'm trying to take down. No big females in it.. Just some younger midsize ones left...

One male can impregnate the all the females in one tank.

So, very often.

This is a "good" problem to have. Many people have difficulty trying to get their shrimps to breed at all.

Welcome to the MTS (Multi Tank Syndrome) issue we all face when trying to keep many types of shrimp.

I'm one who struggles to keep a healthy breeding population... *especially* if it's a Neo.... ah well. I haven't delved far into Caridina either.

 

It usually takes about 3-4 weeks for eggs to hatch. They can get berried up right after their eggs hatch and they molt.
