My snail doesnt like warm water

Recommended Posts

I had two mystery snails. They did excellent in cold water. I recently put a heater in the tank. One died n the other doesn't look so good. I've done the whole acclimating thing. Didn't work. I put her in cold water n she's good. Idk. Trying not to kill it

What temps are we talking about?

Thats why snails are perfect tank companions for shrimp, they both like cooler water. Around 22-24degC.

70degF is 21degC, that's not warm at all.

70F should be perfect for the snail. Are they dying at 70F?

Yes my one did n now the other one it's moving around but if I pull her out n put her in cold water she does. Even when re acclimated her to the water, she was crawling around the bag. As soon as I put her bk in she just closes up

Could it be water parameters of the new (colder) tank?
