Disease/Malnutrition/Environment?

Hi all,

 

I was taking a few shots of my Neos and noted a hole in this gals shell, it’s on both sides. Anyone seen this before? 

 

I rescaped this nano with ‘Pisces Sugar White’ aquarium sand, which has been leaching TDS and buffering the PH down. I have been using RO waste for my PWC’s. Should I be adding some coral to my HOB to buffer back up?

 

I was surprised to my params so acidic, although I had noted some TDS leach a few weeks back. 

Params: 

PH:~5

TDS :~450

KH:1

GH: 17

Acidic water does not do that.

Apparently it is a genetic defect. Cull it to the cull tank.

Don't let it breed.

 

On the pH, yes some coral chips for long term stability of pH.
