Need Guide About RO System For Shrimp Room

Hello i need a guide about RO System for future shrimp room
RO system has 5 steps for common RO system, and additional 3 make up to 8 steps RO system, the additional 3 include Bio Mineral(adding mineral), UV and Hexagonal filter.

The RO system got GDP(Galon perDay) spec too, 50 GDP-400GDP , but i'm more concern with the membran RO, looks like the membran following the GDP spec, 50 GDP got 50GDP membran, 70GDP got 70GDP membran, etc

and the seller won't guarantee the output TDS, especially if the source got TDS more than 200, but it's safe to assume the result under 50 TDS. I would be glad if there solution to further reduce the TDS under 10

I need reccomendation about the spec:
1. which step should i take, 5steps or additional bio mineral / uv / hexagonal?
2. Is there any solution to reduce the tds under 10? any specific feature needed from the RO system?
3. my source water PH = 4-5.5 would RO System reduce the PH or keep it at 6.5?
4. my friend say i could use the hexagonal filter to raise my ph, anyone use the hexagonal filter yet?

I don't know much about Hexagonal filters, and the Bio Mineral cartridge.

What minerals are added?

And do you know what those 5 steps are?

An RO system really needs to be an RO/DI.

The RO membrane reduces TDS by a lot, and the DI resin works in partnership with the RO membrane to reduce TDS even further to 0 TDS.

i'm looking at RO system for drinking water
the hexagonal and bio mineral for drinking water, but my friend using the complete steps (all in 1)

1. sedimen filter
2. GAC carbon activated
3. CTO carbon block
4. RO membrane
5. post carbon filter
6. UV
7. hexagonal
8. mineral to make the water taste better
 

note:

looks like the Hexagonal and mineral are scams (more money)

so i won't use the filter

the DI resin really took my time, bu icannot find the DI resin here

i found these 3 resin
1. softener resin (looks like not the DI resin, because last for years) i hear DI resin last for 2weeks-4months only
2. cation resin (to reduce the mineral)
3. anion resin (to reduce the GH)

sorry but the water source not possible to use RO system anymore

PH 5, too low for RO system unfortunately

most ppl use carbon, sedimen, ro, & di which will drop the tds to near 0 or 0. I have found the higher the GPD rating the less waste is produced as well

depend on the membrane system, some higher gdp using more than 1 membrane

it's the membrane job to produce some ro water and waste with higher tds

using more than 1 membrane mean the waste from 1 membrane get processed by other membrane

resulting less waste and higher tds waste water

 

but less waste = more annoying maintenance, more membrane to replace, and some tricky maintenance

 

the waste depend on the source water parameter, bad parameter mean more waste and forcing less waste could impact the ro quality / shorten the membrane life
