Will be going down later at 10 to get some ista soil 2 bags of 2l, cholla wood, and some plants if they have anything j like.

My plan is to add the soil on top of my normal Ada just to buffer the water down, that way the Ada provides great ferts to plants and the ista will control the ph

So this morning I checked my ph its down to around 6.8 now :) and my nitrite is now down to 0.25ppm, 5.0ppm

Tomorrow I'll do a water change using RO and hopefully within a few days it will be shrimp ready :D

Okay so I got some Ro water done water change with it around 50%. Left it next day nitrites where only just showing, today I had 0 nitrites and 0 ammonia I added my CRS to the tank ph of around 6.4ish.  So far they seem to be doing great grazing on the plants they where swimming around up to the top and back but I think it may just be them getting use to there new environment. Plants j have is HM, Java moss and s.rupens.

Overall it has been 15 days since set up to adding the CRS, tank is only small and I like it much better then the 4ft they where in. (Ph of 8) lol. If these die my wife will kill me so I hope they live happy.

Thanks mate, cycling sucks but there is no other way unfortunately :( I think the worst part about cycling is you have so much motivation with the new tank and you just don't want to see it bare with nothing living in it lol.

Been a few days now since I transferred my shrimp into there new home, they seem to be doing fine no losses and today I seen one molted shell so I guess that's a good thing. Water has also stayed stable 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite very low nitrates if any at all, and ph around 6.2ish.
