I've been having trouble stopping my bumblebee platys munching all my shrimp food, so I've came up with my own shrimp hide which I can put the food inside.

The holes are big enough for the shrimp but will keep the fish out.

I'm planning on adding these small holes to cover about 1/3 of the coconut shell so there's plenty of light getting in, then I'm going to secure christmas moss to it.

Hopefully that will keep the platys away and the shrimp have a nice place to hang out and eat in peace

Thank you

I'm pretty hopefully it will work.

No pictures of it in use yet, I will have updates and pictures of it in my tank later today or tomorrow. I had to stop halfway through to do other stuff unfortunately

I haven't noticed any significant changes in water parameters in my tank. Some people have noticed a drop in ph, there's a small thread on irishfishkeepers.com called coconut shell and aquarium water ph.
