Recommended Posts

After an impulse by on eBay 3 months ago I'm finally starting to make some progress with this new set up.

So far I've just done a basic layout.

Tank:        90cm x 36cm x 50cm

Substrate:  ADA Amazonia , 5mm gravel and pool filter sand

Hardscape: river stones collected and wife's stolen ornament( some type of manzanita tree)

Plants: Low light species. Java ferns, anubias, mosses maybe a few bucephalandra.

Filter: tba I have a cycled worx canister I think I'll use

Lighting: tba either a  3ft pro z led or makemyled.

Livestock: tba I haven't decided yet but some caridina that I won't be selective breeding

Try the aqua pro z light. I've got two and couldn't be happier with them. They come up for sale secondhand at around $50 from time to time, so keep your eyes peeled and snap one up. Current retail is around double that, but still worth it IMO

forgot to say, nice setup too. Are you thinking crypts, java fern and mosses for the plants?

I've added a few more stones and filled tank. Now for the long cycle.

Which layout for the driftwood looks better?

So thanks for the input. I have decided that this will be the layout for the hardscape minus the rocks weighing the driftwood down.

I have moved some of the smaller stones on the right .

Will eventually replace the heater with an inline one.

I'm quietly chuffed because the interior ministers comment was.... Oh that's nice I'd have that in the house minus the pipes(hello glass lily pipes ;p )0b582b213a5629b63df4816d9eafdf72.jpgcecd2052607cd3dc8df3f7a26db51b1f.jpg
