</p>

<p>
	Basic instruction:
</p>

<p>
	fill glass bottle with H202 to within a few cm of the top.
</p>

<p>
	Add catalyst. 1 for &lt;30L, 2 for 30-60L.
</p>

<p>
	Plug the cap back on carefully but tight, before inserting the bottle into the ceramic holster and placing in your aquarium.
</p>

<p>
	Choose the appropriate concentration of H202 for your application, and add the correct number of catylysts, by doing this you can tailor the oxygen production in your aquarium, For example:
</p>

<p>
	In my 40L tank I'm using straight 4.9% solution and 2 catalysts.
</p>

<p>
	Where as in my 10L nano I'm using 2.45% and only 1 catalyst, (diluted equal parts with distilled water)
</p>

<p>
	Store any spare catalysts somewhere safe so they don't get lost.
</p>

<p>
	<a class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image" data-fileid="13414" href="https://skfaquatics.com/forum/uploads/monthly_2017_07/IMG_4210.JPG.6bf97b566ddc90b9f48ebd49044b5f4e.JPG" rel=""><img alt="IMG_4210.JPG" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" data-fileid="13414" src="https://skfaquatics.com/forum/uploads/monthly_2017_07/IMG_4210.thumb.JPG.12bdbaae4741b23b71af77b79f5f50a0.JPG" loading="lazy"></a>
</p>

<p>
	As advertised, the sotching oxydator produces oxygen aswell as an "activated oxygen" which apparently has a lot to do with neutrient and micro neutrient bioavailability in plants. They are also said to reduce algaes esp blue green algae and green spot.
</p>

<p>
	Bubbling away peacefully in my tanks. :) they are lovely to watch when my Bazooka isn't running hehe.

<p>
	So whether you want to increase oxygen levels in a planted tank without increasing surface agitation (which outgasses precious <abbr title="Carbon Dioxide">co2</abbr>), Increase <abbr title="Dissolved Oxygen">DO</abbr> levels to improve shrimplet or fry survival rates, Run a quite tank without a filter for example on your bedside table where an aquarium or scape would add a sense of peace and nature without loud bubbling or humming of filters that can be annoying, Help battle algaes or even just improve general fish and shrimp health this product does it all reliably.
</p>

<p>
	All in all, its clever German engineering combined with a sleek, sexy in tank look earns this product a full 5 stars from me.

<p>
	Hello,
</p>

<p>
	So I've been buying a few different products lately to get everything running 100%
</p>

<p>
	One of which is the marine accudrip, and I have to say I'm very pleased with this product.
</p>

<p>
	I got sick of trying to jerry rig something every water change or top off, and cause I only really keep shrimp or they're my main focus I thought why not?
</p>

<p>
	Easy operation from a wheel that rolls up and down governing the water flow.
</p>

<p>
	Well displayed drip to monitor flow.
</p>

<p>
	RRP $20 - bit much but happy to pay it for what this product achieves as far as convienience goes.
</p>

<p>
	Only downfall is I would have liked a bit more length on the hard tubing with the "U" shape so it reaches the bottom of your bucket, but a small prices of standard airline fit over it fine- easy fix.
</p>

<p>
	I think anyone with anything even slightly sensitive or hardcore into this hobby would love this product and it gets a full 5 stars from me- only downfall really is the price.
</p>

<p>
	enjoy.
</p>

		<p>
			<strong>Background information</strong>
		</p>

		<p>
			Soy beans, belonging to the family of pulses, are known as source of high-quality protein. The  legumes are rich in vital amino acids, vitamins, polyunsaturated fatty acids as well as cell protection micronutrients , such as folic acid and selenium. Those are accompanied by essential minerals  such as calcium, magnesium, iron and zinc. Due to their prebiotic  properties, dietary fibres provide for  a healthy digestion.
		</p>

		<p>
			Due to their tiny size of only a few micrometers, the unicellular green algae of the type Chlorella and Nannochloropsis are ideally suited for the feeding of baby shrimps. However, also the adult animals love to eat them, as they belong to their natural diet.
		</p>

		<p>
			These micro-algae contain all important amino acids, minerals, trace elements, vitamins, many unsaturated fatty acids, polysaccharides and colour-enhancing pigments.
		</p>

		<p>
			The numerous positive ingredients  make Algae Pops an ideal alternative and supplement to the main feed.  They promote a healthy, balanced growth and plentiful reproduction. Also ideally suited as valuable snack.

		<p>
			AQUARIUM &amp; DRINKING WATER Portable R/O Combo System
		</p>

		<p>
			Before making your decision to buy an aquarium filter look beyond the price and consider the following. Yes there are cheaper systems on the market to produce <abbr title="Deionized Water">DI</abbr> quality water for your aquarium.<br>
			However when you look closely at these systems you will note the following.
		</p>

		<p>
			1/ The systems consist of small <abbr title="Deionized Water">DI</abbr> canisters which hold very little <abbr title="Deionized Water">DI</abbr> resin. <abbr title="Deionized Water">Di</abbr> resin expires fairly quickly particularly on high <abbr title="Total Dissolved Solids">TDS</abbr> water like Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane. The higher the <abbr title="Total Dissolved Solids">TDS</abbr> the higher the residual percentage of <abbr title="Total Dissolved Solids">TDS</abbr> left by the <abbr title="Reverse osmosis, type of water purification">RO</abbr>. The purpose of the <abbr title="Deionized Water">DI</abbr> filter is to polish the water to pick up any residual <abbr title="Total Dissolved Solids">TDS</abbr> (salts) left after the <abbr title="Reverse osmosis, type of water purification">RO</abbr> membrane. The higher the residual, the harder the <abbr title="Deionized Water">DI</abbr> works, and quicker it expires.
		</p>

		<p>
			Our system holds 350gm of nuclear grade Purolite Resin - the best in the world. Most other systems are offering less than 200 grams.
		</p>

		<p>
			2/ Its pointless spending over $100 on a water filter for your fish if you can't take advantage of the your investment, and drink the water as well. We are constantly asked for an <abbr title="Reverse osmosis, type of water purification">RO</abbr> System that is suitable for drinking and aquarium water. This hasn't been possible until now.
		</p>

		<p>
			<abbr title="Deionized Water">DI</abbr> resin removes the mineral content back to Zero which is great for the fish but not so good for your health. When the <abbr title="Deionized Water">DI</abbr> removes the residual mineral which include natural <abbr title="A measure of the acidity or alkalinity of a solution">pH</abbr> buffers, the <abbr title="A measure of the acidity or alkalinity of a solution">pH</abbr> of the water plummets to below acceptable levels for drinking water.
		</p>

		<p>
			For example the <abbr title="A measure of the acidity or alkalinity of a solution">pH</abbr> after <abbr title="Reverse osmosis, type of water purification">RO</abbr> and <abbr title="Deionized Water">DI</abbr> can be as low 6 <abbr title="A measure of the acidity or alkalinity of a solution">pH</abbr> or even lower pending temperature etc. Basically this water is acidic and not suitable for prolonged use as drinking water. There has been a lot said about drinking acid water some of which you can read on our listing for the 6 stage XstreaMn Shuttle <abbr title="Reverse osmosis, type of water purification">RO</abbr> system or our 7 stage XstreaMn system.
		</p>

		<p>
			We have built this system to accommodate both needs; safe drinking water and or <abbr title="Deionized Water">DI</abbr> (mineral free) water for aquarium use.
		</p>

		<p>
			We use the highest quality components including Purolite <abbr title="Deionized Water">DI</abbr> nuclear grade resin, and the new and exclusive GT6- 18LS <abbr title="A measure of the acidity or alkalinity of a solution">pH</abbr> neutralizing cartridge for safe drinking water.
		</p>

<p>
	Review:
</p>

<p>
	<strong><u>Look and feel:</u></strong>
</p>

<p>
	The glass is light, but thick and strong enough to resist bashing against tank glass and during washing. The hollow handle is 40cm in length.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>First thoughts:</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Because the Glass Shrimper net is unlike any other net I have handled before, it took some getting used to wielding it correctly and moving at correct angles and directions under the water. I felt like a bit of a buffoon at first!
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>What I like about it:</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	-The shrimp are not stressed when you try and catch them, most get into the glass net themselves. A slow to moderate speed approach does not upset them at all.
</p>

<p>
	-When you put your finger over the handle hole at the top, you can lift the shrimp out of the tank without them being exposed to air and out of the water at all, avoiding stress. I found this really cool when catching shrimp for sorting.
</p>

<p>
	-The shrimp move into the handle when you hold the net horizontal and this enables excellent viewing: when put in front of a light, you are able to see dark shrimp saddles that are usually not visible with the naked eye in dark shrimp like king kongs or dark tigers. I also found this excellent for culling shrimp as I could inspect them closer than I could have ever done before without stressing them too much, making sorting easier.
</p>

<p>
	- I am able to sterilise this glass shrimper net properly unlike regular nets
</p>

<p>
	- I also successfully used it as a glass feeding chute to transfer powder food into a feeding dish without getting lost in the current by injecting the food directly into the handle and tipping it out on the feeding dish without getting my hands in the tank.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Tip:</strong> this net works on the principle that you put the Glass shrimper net against a surface like the tank glass or moss until the shrimp swims to the back or to the handle, then you can move the shrimp to the water surface. It will not work in cornered surfaces for obvious reasons.
</p>

<p>
	Because of the reduced shrimp stress and easy close-up inspection, I give this very useful Glass Shrimper net ???? out of 5 stars.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Description</strong>
</p>

<p>
	aPUMP is an aquarium air pump for aquariums from 10 up to 100 liters volume and is designed to supply aquarium water with oxygen, the most essential and vital element.
</p>

<p>
	I set out to find a quiet air pump due to having all my tanks in my bedroom - you can imagine how annoying it was hearing a noisy air pump when you're trying to sleep!
</p>

<p>
	I decided to give the aPUMP a go considering the claim of 'most silent pump in the world'.
</p>

<div class="ipsEmbeddedVideo">
	<div>
		<iframe allowfullscreen="true" frameborder="0" height="270" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/wvrnEZuHb9U?feature=oembed" width="480" loading="lazy"></iframe>
	</div>
</div>

<p>
	<strong>What did I like about of it?</strong>
</p>

<ul>
<li>
		It's silent - I actually couldn't hear it unless I had my ear really close to it
	</li>
	<li>
		It's tiny! - Slightly bigger than a 50 cent coin
	</li>
	<li>
		Has a suction cup
	</li>
	<li>
		Comes with some tubing and an air stone
	</li>
</ul>
<p>
	If you're looking for a quality air pump, that's close to silent, don't go past the aPUMP ?
</p>

	Note: The dislikes above are due to my situation so if this air pump was used in an area where the noise didn't matter as much then it's not a problem. In fact the noise of the bubbles popping at the surface tended to be more annoying.

<p>
	This is a review for the Eheim Air Diffuser that connects to the air hose. Eheim also have one that connects to your canister outflow.
</p>

<p>
	I bought 6 of these to get more air into my water. They are sold as an air diffuser, with a good comparison video to a ceramic air stone on Youtube.
</p>

<p>
	I have these in 4 tanks from 50 litre to 240 litre, connected to different output air pumps. I have had them for approx. 2 months.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Price: $12-$15 each in Australia
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	<u><b>The pro's:</b></u>
</p>

<ul>
<li>
		Comes with a suction cup to attach to the glass, looks tidy, very attractive finishing compared to a ceramic air stone.
	</li>
	<li>
		You can vary the size of the bubbles by adjusting the top body of the sphere
	</li>
</ul>
<p>

</p>

<p>
	<u><b>The Con's:</b></u>
</p>

<p>
	To get more air diffusion, you need smaller bubbles under pressure that travel slower to the water surface than large air bubbles. This is the concept behind buying this air diffuser. This is possible, but by setting the diffuser to such a fine setting, there is a very high pitched noise coming from it due to the pressure going through the diffuser on such a fine setting. The frequency of the high pitched noise does lower by letting off some pressure by either adjusting the diffuser itself to increase bubble size, or by dialling down the airflow from your air pump. This high pitched noise only disappears when the bubbles are the size equivalent to that of a regular air stone. The noise at the finer settings is loud enough to be annoying, and I cannot imagine that shrimp and fish want to be exposed to that noise pollution. I have tanks still running at this noise-level: it does not go away if you do not increase the bubble size.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	This Eheim Air diffuser gets ??? / 5 Shrimp tails. It is an attractive average-functioning airstone if that is what you are looking for in terms of regular bubble size. As a fine air diffuser, due to the high level of high-pitched noise, I would not recommend it at all.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Figure 1 shows bubbles at a lower frequency high-pitch level that is annoying.
</p>

<p>
	Figure 2 shows the very fine diffused bubbles that one expects from a diffuser, but with a noise level that will drive you nuts if you are next to the tank and who knows what stress that causes the shrimp and fish.
</p>

<p><img src="https://skfaquatics.com/forum/uploads/monthly_2016_05/573afe887a359_LowkeysHidenNoEsaSecretShrimpFood.jpg.1efce6195f0b41aac4a0487b98d9c8b0.jpg" /></p>

<p>
	I found this an interesting shrimp food with a surprising use. Lowkeys Japan states that shrimp are generally fed too nutritious food on a regular basis, in contrast to what they would find in nature.
</p>

<p>
	The ingredients themselves don't look that impressive at first glance:
</p>

<ul>
<li>
		Seaweed
	</li>
	<li>
		Gluten meal
	</li>
	<li>
		Fish
	</li>
	<li>
		Vitamins
	</li>
</ul>
<p>
	Consistency:
</p>

<p>
	A dense pellet food that does not soften, lose shape, dissolve or foul the water At All. I am not sure how they managed to formulate it like this. I use this exclusively as a holiday food as shrimp snow just makes too much of a mess in larger quantities for me. The pellets hold shape until all is eaten by the shrimp. The pellets look similar to peat moss/wood chips and do not quite look like the ingredients one thinks it would look in the above ingredient list...
</p>

<p>
	Palatability:
</p>

<p>
	My shrimp initially ignore it completely when put in the tank. I suspect they might be spoiled with the other foods I give them. Give them A few hours and the shrimp start leisurely nibbling for a while, then going away, and coming back in a few hours to have some more. I find this incredibly interesting: the whole structure- holding, non-fouling food that lasts forever in a tank ( I would just like to clarify: "forever" means a week holiday in this review ).
</p>

<p>
	The catch:
</p>

<p>
	Not available for purchase in Australia at the moment. Available in USA, Canada, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia.
</p>

<p>
	Highly recommended as a holiday food option.
</p>

	This Lowkeys Hiden No Esa Secret shrimp food gets ???/5 shrimp tails.
