I continue to be blown away by the gorgeous variety of native's that inhabit the area around my home in cairns. Gotta get back up there for a holiday and make some trips!

So awesome to check them in the wild!

I wonder, how come TDS is always so low in these waters? So much rocks, should give some lime right? Or is it because new water is constant flowing in?

Based on what I saw last time, the TDS is so low because the water is essentially rainwater draining off the mountain. The rocks also seem to be inert. I dont know what type of rock it is.

A similar looking rock I found here in NSW is totally inert. I used that rock for my first zebra tank and it will be going in my next zebra tank as well.
