A picture of the Blechnum obtusatum var francii, an endemic aquatic fern from the south of New Caledonia.

This fern is able to thrive at 10 meters depth. the deeper it is, the longer are the leaves, around 60/80 cms. Closer from the surface, leaves are around 10/15cms.

I have one, very nice. In aquarium, the leaves are translucant, turning to a very nice lime green.
