good locations near Brisbane?

Hey guys! Any tips for shrimping in the Brisbane area? I'm setting up 2 new tanks and I'm keen to experiment with local shrimp! One of my fondest memories from high school was my massive creft's river turtle and his shrimp tankmate Bilbo from a creek near Roma (unfortunately younger me never bothered to identify Bilbo) and it'd be neat to try that sort of thing again (the shrimp bit, not the turtle bit... there's no room for a 6ft tank in my apartment haha).

Giving this a bit of a bump for you. I can't help since I'm not from Brissie. But a few members on SKF regularly go shrimping, and they might be able to help.

I would have thought most creeks with flowing water around the place would have some sort of shrimp? Just make sure it's not in a protected forest. There are a couple in the western suburbs opposite Jindalee State School where I used to catch those wild guppies from, I wonder if they have shrimp. It's been 20 years since I've been down at that creek but I might go for a wander at some stage. The creek is fed from the Brisbane river so probably brackish.
